Karen Cleveland's spy novel Need to Know involves a CIA analyst (Vivian Miller) who discovers that her husband is a Russian agent operating in America. (The secret is revealed in Chapter 1 so this isn't a spoiler.) From this intriguing Americans-like premise, Cleveland builds a solid thriller with good plot twists, both of which help overcome weak character development.
