The Saint-Fiacre Affair

The Pequod Review:
In The Saint-Fiacre Affair, Maigret returns to his childhood home (the village of Saint-Fiacre) after the police receive a note that a crime will take place at First Mass on All Saint’s Day. Certain readers may find a deep implausibility in the telegraphed set-up, but in every other way this is one of the better Maigrets. (The book was later published as Maigret Goes Home.)
