Haruki Murakami and the Music of Words is a literary biography of the great Japanese novelist by Jay Rubin, the primary English translator of his books. This is likely only of interest to serious Murakami fans, although the sections on Rubin's challenges of translating Murakami’s books from Japanese to English is very good and applicable to a wider audience.
