The Unquiet

The Unquiet is the sixth book in John Connolly's Charlie Parker series. The first 40 pages are absolutely first-rate, as Parker investigates a child abuse scandal; the rest of the book is less successful as it edges into the supernatural. Nonetheless, Connolly is a mystery writer of uncommonly high quality.
