Too Many Cooks

The Pequod Review:
Too Many Cooks, Rex Stout's fifth Nero Wolfe novel, has several amusing set pieces and some of Wolfe's wittiest dialogue. However, the book's crime plot — involving the murder of a famous chef at a West Virginia resort where Wolfe was invited to deliver the keynote speech — begins quite slowly and contains some lazy and implausible twists. Fans of locked-room mysteries will probably enjoy the resolution though.
