The Pequod Review:

The protagonist of Dag Solstad's fourteenth book (Singer) isn’t a very dynamic person; he is aimless, indolent, and at age 34 something of a failure. But Solstad extracts a deep beauty from his life, and creates an impressive (and impressively well-written) novel that finds meaning in the mundane.
