The Spy in the Ointment

The Spy in the Ointment is the story of J. Eugene Waxford, a naive activist who leads a pacifist group named the Citizens Independent Union). However, due to an unfortunate State Department typo, Raxford becomes involved with an equally radical but decidedly non-pacifist organization (the World Citizens Independence Union). Raxford attempts to persuade the FBI to take the threat seriously; when he cannot, he finds himself in the unique position of being “the first pacifist gunman in the history of the world.”
