The Pequod Review:

Donald Westlake's Smoke is the story of Freddie Noon, a likable thief who breaks into a tobacco research lab looking for something to steal, and emerges fully invisible. The book is an amusing and partly science-fictional novel, with several very funny set pieces about what it actually would be like to be invisible. Unfortunately, it is a bit too removed from reality to rank among Westlake’s best work.
