The Pequod Review:

The Sellout, Paul Beatty's fourth novel, is a satirical novel that takes place in Los Angeles and centers on a poor but colorful narrator (Bonbon) who attempts to bring segregation and slavery back to modern America. Beatty may not fully realize his deeper sociological intentions, but the book is consistently fun (and funny) for its 300 pages.
