The Passion According to G.H.

The Pequod Review:
Clarice Lispector's The Passion According to G.H. is a surreal and ultimately shocking novel, involving a woman who undergoes a personal crisis after killing a cockroach. Obviously this is a seminal work in the history of Brazilian literature, but I found it to be too long and eventually tiresome. It would have made for a much better short story.
