The Pequod Review:

In Murder by the Book, Rex Stout shifts his setting to the book publishing world, as a pseudonymous author (and three others) are found dead, and Wolfe is brought in to the case by the head of NYPD’s Homicide division. This book features one of Stout’s best plots, with genuine suspense and several memorable minor characters.
