Murder in Blue
Rating
The Pequod Review:
Murder in Blue is a solid detective story with great characters, as an amateur detective (John Rutherford, a local bookseller and fiction writer) partners with Inspector Charlton to investigate the murder of a policeman. The book has a uniquely lighthearted tone, plus a lot of humor, and the story is effectively set in a charming Hampshire town. But the case itself becomes a bit too much of a logic puzzle and the resolution is disappointing and gimmicky.
