The Pequod Review:

Memoirs of My Nervous Illness is a detailed, lucid, and persuasive description of mental illness. The twisted but compelling logic of Daniel Paul Schreber’s hallucinations are unsettling for the reader, and make it clear how much we are all just barely holding it together. The book was made into a 2006 movie by Julian Hobbs.
