Kiss and Tell

Kiss and Tell is a pop philosophical novel in the vein of Essays in Love and The Romantic Movement, but less focused on love specifically. The fictional form just doesn't suit Alain de Botton; his plotting is awkward and he doesn't create fully-realized characters. Fortunately for his readers, after this book he would shift to non-fiction and (not coincidentally) would produce the best work of his career.
