Greenmantle

Greenmantle is John Buchan's sequel to The Thirty-Nine Steps (1915), once again starring Richard Hannay who this time is recruited to prevent the Germans from instigating a Muslim uprising. Despite a simplistic Manichean narrative and several ridiculous plot twists, the book has more compelling secondary characters than his earlier book, as well as an expansive Eurasian setting.
