The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything

John D. MacDonald's The Girl, The Gold Watch and Everything is a science fiction novel involving a watch that can stop time. (Oddly, however, this powerful device is put to rather pedestrian uses.) The story is breezy and enjoyable, but lacks the tension and urgency of his better crime novels.
