The Pequod Review:

Fame and Obscurity is a collection of Gay Talese’s NYC-related Esquire profiles, including his famous essay “Frank Sinatra Has a Cold.” I enjoyed several of these, but Talese’s hyper-literate prose style sometimes distracts from his actual underlying subject.
