Double, Double

Ellery Queen was the joint pseudonym of two Brooklyn cousins, Manfred Lee (1905-1971) and Frederic Dannay (1905-1982), who together wrote more then 30 novels featuring the classic fictional detective Ellery Queen. The Queen novels are one-note detective mysteries, but they are well-structured, familiar, and comforting. In Double, Double, the twenty-first book in the series, Queen investigates a series of murders that appear to follow the sequence of a children's rhyme.
