Distant Reading

Distant Reading is a collection of essays that is probably the best introduction to Franco Moretti's quantitative analysis of literary works. But it remains frustrating how few insights his research yields, in part for reasons that are not his fault (e.g., the fact that there are still not that many books that have been digitized, and those that have been are by no means a representative sample).
