The Conscience of a Liberal

The Pequod Review:
The George W. Bush administration was a radicalizing event for Paul Krugman, and it culminated in The Conscience of a Liberal, a one-sided review of 20th century American economic history from a left/liberal perspective. Krugman is too intelligent to allow his book to be wrong per se, but he argues his case with too much certainty and without sufficient consideration of competing perspectives or evidence. Barry Goldwater's book didn’t work, and neither does Krugman’s.
