The Pequod Review:

Natasha Brown's Assembly is a short and sharp novel on how racism and sexism is experienced in the modern Western world. Over barely a hundred pages, Brown imagines a young African-American woman as she navigates her way through corporate life, health concerns and romantic relationships. The overall story is fragmented and lacks any cohesive plot or detailed characterization — there is a reason it was only 100 pages — but a few of the individual scenes are quite strong.
