The Pequod Review:

Jonathan Knee is an actual senior investment banker who has risen to the top of his field, so unlike his pretend peers (Goldman Sachs elevator riders, Matt Taibbi, or even Michael Lewis, who wrote Liar’s Poker after only three years as a junior bond trader), he actually knows what he is talking about. As a result, despite the fact that his book The Accidental Investment Banker was written before the 2008 recession, it remains an excellent industry overview. It has real insights on the role of investment banks, the power struggle between advisory and trading divisions, the manipulations of league table rankings, and how bankers’ compensation is determined.
