The Pequod Review:

Morrie Schwartz was Mitch Albom’s undergraduate sociology professor at Brandeis University, and Tuesdays with Morrie recounts how Albom reestablished a relationship with his former teacher as Schwartz was dying. Schwartz’s life lessons tend toward the obvious and trite (“Accept who you are and revel in it,” “Death ends a life, not a relationship,” “Don’t cling to things because everything is impermanent," etc.), but sometimes it is the most obvious lessons that we forget. And Albom’s lucid prose saves the book from becoming too sentimental or mawkish.
