The Pequod Review:

Edward Glaeser’s Triumph of the City argues that cities are better for the environment, the economy and society. His analysis and evidence is a bit cursory — given Glaeser's other serious and detailed work, perhaps his simplification was an attempt to win a broader audience — but this is nonetheless an important subject and Glaeser provides sensible policy recommendations. (These include reducing tax incentives for non-urban development, developing mixed-use skyscrapers, and implementing traffic congestion charges.)
