The Pequod Review:

Ian Rankin's Tooth and Nail is the third book in his Inspector Rebus series; this time the Scottish detective is sent down to London to advise Scotland Yard on their search for a serial killer. The novel is solid but unremarkable in nearly every way — the plotting is fair-to-good, one or two characters are quite finely-written but the rest are not, and the resolution is acceptably satisfying. Nonetheless, for fans of the series this is a good chance to see Rebus operating outside of his traditional home base of Edinburgh.
