The Pequod Review:

In The Tipping Point, Malcolm Gladwell comes up with a new term for an old concept (in which seemingly minor incidents build to a critical mass), and then attempts to claim the concept as his own. Nonetheless, he is such a witty and engaging writer, and he pulls together enough interesting examples showing the spread of faddish trends and ideas (Hush Puppies shoes, crime in New York City, Paul Revere, cigarettes, Sesame Street, Bernie Goetz, etc.) that the book is a consistently readable delight.
