Marian Babson's There Must be Some Mistake is a cozy British mystery novel with an intriguing set-up: a businessman (John Randolph) and his secretary disappear on a European business trip while GBP 500,000 in bearer bonds have gone missing from his firm's safe deposit box. John is immediately suspected of theft but it falls to his wife Karen to uncover the truth. The resolution is not altogether satisfying, but most of the book is a charming mystery.
