String Theory: David Foster Wallace on Tennis

String Theory is a repackaged collection of David Foster Wallace's tennis-related essays that have mostly appeared elsewhere. The Michael Joyce essay from A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again remains his best tennis essay and is included here, along with his famous NYT Federer/Nadal piece. I guess there is value in this book if you are purely a tennis fan, but in every other way his earlier essay collections are superior.
