Spy Story

Len Deighton's Spy Story is an espionage novel that spans three continents, as the protagonist (Pat Armstrong, a London intelligence agent) seeks to thwart a Soviet plot to influence the German reunification. The book has some decent scenes, but its plot is confusing and difficult to follow. I greatly enjoyed Deighton's Game Set & Match trilogy, but Spy Story has few if any redeeming features.
