The Secret Root

The Secret Root is an engaging story of time travel, as a 15-year-old Kansas boy (Jared Garber) finds himself unexpectedly transported along with his family to a distant future. The book has some intriguing world building features (the first third is quite good in this respect), however the plot ultimately becomes too much of a good guy/bad guy action adventure.
