The Pequod Review:
In The Score, Parker & Co. devise an ingenious scheme to rob an entire North Dakota town — the banks, the jewelry stores, the mining company, everything. The book intelligently follows the job from beginning to end, starting with the recruitment of a 12-person crew, all the way through the planning, execution, and getaway. And it has some rare Dortmunder-like moments of humor, as for example one of the thieves discusses the importance of paying income taxes on stolen monies. The Score is a simple but well-crafted heist story, and one of the best books in the Parker Series.
