Rosemary's Baby

Ira Levin’s prose leaves a lot to be desired, but with Rosemary’s Baby he crafted a thrilling horror story involving a satanic coven who impregnates a young Upper West Side woman (Rosemary Woodhouse). Much of the narrative tension arises from Rosemary's husband’s abusive gaslighting, as pregnancy-related pain and weight loss cause Rosemary to doubt her own sanity.
