The Promise

The sixteenth book in Robert Crais’s Elvis Cole series is more great fun, as Cole teams up with a K-9 officer and his German shepherd to investigate a woman who has disappeared after stealing $460,000 from her employer. The plot is complex but mostly plausible, especially in its stronger second half.
