Pity Him Afterwards is a violent thriller involving a Norman Bates-like psychopath who escapes an insane asylum, kills an actor on his way to a drama camp, and then assumes the actor’s identity in order to kill others at the camp. Despite the simplistic motivations of the protagonist, the suspense builds over time.
