The Perfect Crime

The Pequod Review:
Henry Kane (1918-1988) was a prolific crime writer in the genre's 1950s-1970s golden age, writing over sixty novels under either his own name or a variety of pen names (Anthony McCall, Mario Sagola, Kenneth McKay, etc.). Published in 1972, The Perfect Crime is a solid heist novel involving a woman on the run from the Mob. However, Kane's prose is an acquired taste and his volubly wise-cracking style will not appeal to all readers.
