The Pequod Review:

One Minute to Midnight is by far the best account written to date on the Cuban Missile Crisis. It's rather astonishing that we haven’t experienced a nuclear conflict since World War II, even on a regional level. Despite (or perhaps because of) the end of the Cold War, Dobbs's account doesn’t provide much optimism for the future. And don’t overlook the excellent afterword to the book either.
