The Pequod Review:
Native Tongue, Carl Hiaasen's fourth comic crime novel, begins with the theft of two endangered blue-tongued mango voles from a Florida theme park by two hapless burglars. When the park's PR man looks into the crime, he discovers his boss is wrapped up in nefarious mob-related development plans. This is one of Hiaasen's better books, an enjoyable mix of humor, crime, and Florida real estate corruption.
