The Pequod Review:
Money, Money, Money is Ed McBain's fifty-first 87th Precinct novel, this one involving a large and diverse cast of criminals (drug-runners, small-time crooks, money launders, and many others). The story has some fun moments — Detective Steve Carella is in fine form despite a mid-life crisis — but the plot has no mystery and few procedural details; this fact, coupled with the convoluted plot threads, make it a lesser entry in McBain's legendary series.
