Maximum Bob

Maximum Bob is one of Elmore Leonard’s best books, a lean and mean crime story about a womanizing and over-zealous Florida judge (Robert “Maximum Bob” Gibbs). What really shines is Leonard’s dialogue, as well as the memorable Florida setting, which is more realistic and less forgiving than Carl Hiaasen’s comic novels.
