The Pequod Review:

Peter Fleming was a superb travel writer, with a far more engaging style than his brother Ian. Alan Ogden's Master of Deception is a worthy biography of Fleming's life, including an extensive military intelligence career that would strongly influence his writing. But if you haven't read Fleming's original travelogues already, it's better to start with those (especially Brazilian Adventure).
