The Pequod Review:

Roger Ebert’s prose is a readable delight, but his memoir Life Itself dwells far too long (and in irrelevant detail) on his childhood and college years, and too little on movies or the film industry. It seems the totality of Ebert’s legacy is likely to be his extraordinary collection of film reviews.
