Leviathan

Paul Auster's novel Leviathan is the character study of a troubled and ultimately suicidal writer (Ben Sachs), as pieced together by Ben's friend Peter Aaron. The book works well enough as a small-scale drama, but fails to realize Auster's grand thematic intentions.
