Las Vegas Blackjack Diary
Rating
The Pequod Review:
Obviously this book is only of interest to specialists, but Stuart Perry's Las Vegas Blackjack Diary is structured in a refreshingly clear and simple way. He lays out in chronological order what happened at each of his blackjack playing sessions — the location, date, table-specific rules, length of time played, amount of his buy-in, amount of his winnings, and his commentary on the overall session. So many non-fiction writers feel the need to dress up their experiences into fancy and overwritten prose in order to sound smart or to impart deeper wisdom. Perry’s book is a good reminder that all that work is often a waste of time.
