Judgment on Deltchev

Judgment on Deltchev is a solid late-career novel from Eric Ambler, following his eleven-year hiatus from writing. Part thriller and part political novel, this is in many ways Ambler’s most ambitious book; it mostly works but the multiple characters and divergent plot threads don’t quite hold together as well as his earlier novels.
