The Pequod Review:

Harry Whittington's sixty-fourth novel has a Western flavor, as two bank robbers and six hostages come together in a small New Mexico border town. At this point in his career, Whittington is an old pro — he writes strong characters and suspenseful scenes — but the plot doesn't come together well and the conclusion is a bit of a let-down.
