The Pequod Review:

The Girl who Played with Fire is Book #2 in Stieg Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy. This second volume has a better and more suspenseful plot than the first, and is centered around the return of Lisbeth Salander to Stockholm, where she is accused of a murder she didn’t commit. Unfortunately, the punkish Salander features more prominently in this novel, and she isn’t a compelling enough character (beyond her surface-level features) to fully carry it.
