The Girl Who Had to Die
Rating
The Pequod Review:
Elisabeth Sanxay Holding's The Girl Who Had to Die starts strong, as we witness a troubled 19-year-old girl (Jocelyn) fall overboard a cruise ship and then blame it on an innocent bystander (John, who narrates the story). But over the rest of the book, Jocelyn leverages her accusation to persuade John to undertake increasingly extreme (and unlikely) actions.
