Girl on the Train

Paula Hawkins's Girl on the Train is a Gone Girl copycat right down to the title, but at least half of the book (especially its middle chapters) develops enough tension through shifting narratives and hazy memories to make it an engaging read. If faced with a choice of ten books on an airport bestseller rack, you could do worse.
