The Pequod Review:

The Getaway Car is an outstanding collection of Donald Westlake's articles, interviews, letters, introductions, unused book titles, and even recipes, assembled and edited by Levi Stahl. I especially enjoyed Westlake’s honesty and insight into his fellow mystery novelists, clearly explaining why he liked certain authors (Rex Stout, Dashiell Hammett, Peter Rabe) and did not like others (Ross Macdonald, Raymond Chandler). This will be enjoyed most by serious Donald Westlake fans — which will someday include you, even if you don't know it yet — but there is enough here for even general mystery/crime readers.
