Franny and Zooey

J.D. Salinger takes the least attractive features of Holden Caulfield — namely, his self-absorption and pettiness — and amplifies them in these two stories about Franny and Zooey Glass, a pair of odd and socially challenged siblings who, like Holden, struggle to fit in with the rest of the world.
